Nevertheless, these solutions are not as good as they are claimed to be. These solutions can be extremely dangerous for the dental health in a number of ways. Things can get reversed
Even though you have been quite careful about this DIY treatment, there is no guarantee that your teeth will stay like this for the rest of your life. Since you are not consulting any dentist, you may start getting your teeth on the way to their initial positions soon after you stop have those DIY braces. Moreover, the professional treatments focus at slow progress which tends to leave permanent effects after the braces are removed. On the other hand, DIY methods tend to make quick progress, increasing the chance of things to get reversed.


Risk of losing your teeth
If you are using rubber bands to straighten or correct your teeth, you need to keep it in mind that it can be quite damaging to your dental health. This method of straightening teeth can result in damage to your teeth from the roots.

Since DIY braces do not focus at the integrity of entire dental structure, you may end up having other teeth getting out of place. It can chance the way your upper and lower jaws meet, leading to the affected speech. There are certain speech disorders which can result due to the use of these DIY braces.
